NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index settled flat at 26,474 on Tuesday.
Punjab National Bank (down 6.10 per cent), Federal Bank (down 4.45 per
cent), IDFC Bank (down 3.07 per cent), State Bank of India (down 2.78 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (down 2.38 per cent) remained the top
losers in the bank index.
RBL Bank (down 0.72 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 0.68 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.51 per cent) and IndusInd Bank
(down 0.02 per cent) also settled down.
However, shares of HDFC Bank (up 0.92 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.66 per cent) and YES Bank
(up 0.22 per cent) remained up, restricting the fall of the index.
Nifty slipped 5 points or 0.04 per cent to settle at 10,802
In the index, 23 stocks settled in the green, while 27 settled in the red.
In the Nifty index, Tata Steel, Power Grid, Bajaj Finance, Tata
Consultancy Services and Asian Paints stood as the top gainers.
On the contrary, Tata Motors, State Bank of India, Coal India and Indiabulls
Housing Finance remained the top Nifty losers.
