Rescuers are trying to save thousands of sheep after the ship carrying them overturned off the coast of Romania.The Queen Hind had been carrying 14,600 sheep and 22 sailors when it capsized on Sunday morning near the port of Midia in the Black Sea.Local media reports the crew, who are Syrian nationals, were rescued by Romanian authorities.At least one crew member had fallen into the water.A total of 50 sheep were saved but the rescue operation had to be suspended when it became dark, according to local news site Kronika.Maritime tracking website FleetMon reports the local coast guard, police and firefighters managed to rescue some sheep who were swimming outside the boat but many others were trapped inside.The operation to recover more of the animals has resumed again this morning.The Palau-flagged ship was bound for Libya and began leaning to the side after leaving Midia port, according to the news agency MTI.It has not yet fully sunk and tracking websites show it is located near the port.
