As all hotels and resorts were booked by Telangana Rashtra Samiti leaders, and residents who offered to accommodate the BJP workers were allegedly threatened by ruling party activists, they created what certainly is a distinct pattern in survey campaigning-- staying put in travelling tents in tandas (tribal hamlets) each night, engaging with the residents, comprehending their issues and propagating the BJP's development mantra prior to carrying on to the next tanda the next morning.

This gave us a terrific opportunity to develop a bond with the residents, said BJP leader P.M.

Sai Prasad, who earlier worked as national vice-president of celebration youth wing, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.

We are cooking our food and often the residents are sharing their food with us, he stated.
