NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to the CRPF workers who lost their lives in the Pulwama horror attack on February 14, 2019.

Their valour and indomitable guts will always stay an inspiration in the battle against terrorism, he tweeted.In the attack, 40 CRPF jawans were eliminated after a suicide bomber drove an automobile loaded with explosives into their convoy.The attack was orchestrated by Pakistani terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, which is led by Bahawalpur-based Maulana Masood Azhar.

A minimum of 19 terrorists were associated with the conspiracy of the Pulwama attack.

Of this, eight terrorists have actually been neutralised and seven remain in prison while four are based in Pakistan, sources said.

India had actually avenged the attack by performing air strikes in Balakot, destroying Jaishs terror camps.

Azhar, the prime conspirator, is currently living under ISIs security.
