BHOPAL: A Class 11 student was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Gwalior town late on Monday night.The incident took place at around 8pm on main road at Sindhi Colony under Madhavganj police station.The deceased has been identified as Akshaya Yadav (19).
The girl was riding a scooter, and one Akshaya was pillion riding when she was shot dead.
Additional SP crime, Rajesh Dandotiya said, "The two were returning home from coaching when the accused fired two shots.
They were targetting the girl who was pillion riding but the bullets hit Akshaya, killing her on the spot.""We have identified the accused, a total of 12 teams have been set up and a hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
Main accused is one Sumit, who had friendship with the friend of the deceased, but off late they were not talking with each other.
The accused were targetting her but Akshaya got shot", he added."They had fired two shots and both had hit the deceased," he added.
