LUCKNOW: Just four days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vande Bharat Express bringing Gorakhpur closer to Lucknow, unidentified miscreants pelted stones on the premium express in UP's Ayodhya district and damaged several windowpanes on Tuesday morning.01:14Vande Bharat Train: Recent stone pelting incidents damage 30 window panesHowever, no passengers or onboard railway staffers were injured.The incident took place at 8:40 am near Sohawal railway station which is nearly 15 km away from Ayodhya Cantt Junction.According to railway authorities, the stone pelting damaged the windowpanes of C1 (seats 33,34), C3 (seats 20,21,22), C5 (seats 10,11,12) and E1 (seats 35,36) coaches.After the incident, railway protection force (RPF), Ayodhya Cantt Junction, began to probe the accused responsible for vandalism.02:35PM Modi flags off Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express"We are trying to ascertain exactly from where the stones were pelted on the train.

Lucknow division senior divisional security commissioner (Northern Railway) Shreyans Chinchwade told TOI that an FIR has been registered and the probe is on.
