Bigg Boss 13 fame Dalljiet Kaur, who found love in Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel and is settled abroad after marriage recently, talked to ETimes TV about her new life.
The actress spoke about how it feels to handle two kids and be a mother of a teenage daughter.
Dalljiet revealed she feels like she has become Kajol from Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Ghum and also opened up about her bond with daughter Aariyana.
Speaking about suddenly becoming a mother of three kids, said, "It is very interesting to suddenly become a mother of a teenager.
They have their own rules.
It is a very interesting age, they know everything, still dont know everything.
Im very fortunate because Aariyana is a very intelligent girl, very wise.
Shes also very interesting, deeply rooted with culture.
She also respects any traditional idea or ideology if I have one.
But then again there are challenges of being a mother of a teenage girl, but Im loving it and learning from Nick.
I sometimes feel Im Kajol from Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Ghum.
I am a Punjabi, over loud, Indian mother.
She tells me if my friends are coming you will stay physically apart.
You cant come and hug me.
She literally gives me instructions.
(Laughs)."Dalljiet and Nikhil got married in Mumbai in an intimate wedding ceremony with only close family and friends in attendance.
The Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paayega actress shared how challenging or interesting it has been to set up a new life in Kenya, "Its been interesting.
I didnt know how it's going to be or what I should expect.
I only knew that Ive found this man who I really love.
I was and Im really excited to live my whole life with him and I wanted to take one day as it comes.
But definitely, when I came to my new house, leaving my work, and living a comfortable life (like my own people), it was initially very difficult.
I started feeling homesick very soon.
I started missing my mom, dad more than anyone else," she said.
But it was husband Nikhil (Nick), who made her feel comfortable in the new space, "Very soon.
With Nick helping me in every phase, introducing me to some amazing set of people, telling me that Im not away from my career.
So, I slowly started to find a balance.
India is very different and here the whole culture is different but it is beautiful to explore it with Nick.
Im learning from him, his culture, his ways and hes learning from me.
Like our daughter, she keeps telling me that Im more Indian than I ever was," she concluded.
