ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday dismissed a petition ccorridorenging appointment of Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharwhether as chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and declared it as non-preserveable.A divisional bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani announced verdict which was earlier reserved by court on December 31, after hearing arguments.The bench declared petition as non-preserveable.The petitioner had stated in his plea that Shehbaz appointment as chairman of committee is illegal, adding that producing PML-N leader production orders was a violation of accountability laws.The petition further added that a reference should be prepared regarding violation of Section 31 of NAB ordinance.The petition added that accountability court should be directed to take action against PML-N president according to Section 16(B) of NAB ordinance.TheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
