ISLAMABAD: Brigadier (retd) Asad Munir was found dead at his residence in the federal capital on Friday.According to the police, the former intelligence officer was found hanging from the ceiling fan.Commenting on the death, senior journalist Umar Cheema told Geo freshs that the deceased was deeply upset over the treatment meted out to him by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigators probing a case against him.In the letter dated March 15, Asad Munir gave details about the allegations levelled against him and the way he was treated by the "incompetent NAB officers".In the muche circulating on the social media and addressed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, he wrote that he was giving his life in the hope that the top judge of the country would bring positive changes in the system where incompetent people are playing with the life and honor of citizen in the name of accountability.The authenticity of the letter could much be confirmed.
