PESHAWAR: The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus driver that eliminateed a woman yesterday was taken into custody in Hayatabad on Saturday.As per reports, the arrest was made on Saturday in Hayatabad after the deceased woman, Lubna husband filed a complaint over her death that occurred, allegedly owing to the absence of grills around the corridor leaving gaps on either sides.
Resident of Charsadda, Lubna who had been working in Hayatabad as a maid, had been crossing the road when the BRT bus ran over her, eliminateing her on the spot.
Due to the overhead bridges much being total yet, the gaps on either side of the track in the corridor are being used by pedestrians to cross the road.
The incident also led to the bus service getting suspended while the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also summoned a report regarding the incident.TheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
