ISLAMABAD: Prime minister Imran Khan has approved in principle the first tax amnesty scheme after it was presented and briefed by federal finance minister Asad Umar at a assembly here on Monday.However, after the prime minister gave the formal approval, a summary shall be sent to the federal cabinet for final approval at its assembly on Tuesday.Sources said that the amnesty scheme shall be implemented through a presidential ordinance on April 15.The first tax amnesty scheme shall supply people with the means to legitimise all kinds of offshore and onshore undeclared assets.Initially, the assets declaration scheme shall be implemented for 45 days.TheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
