Pak delegation participates in West China Dental ShowBEIJING: A twelve-member delegation from Pakistan is participating in the prestigious West China Dental Show opened in Chengdu on April 25 and will continue until 28.Pakistans Consul General to Chengdu, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu and Commercial Counselor Haroon Masood attended an impressive opening ceremony was held at the International Exhibition Centre, Chengdu.
Realizing the huge potential of the dental market of Western China, Mudassir Tipu had proposed the Ministry of Commerce to support participation of Pakistans dental and surgical instrument companies in the Show.
Based on Missions recommendation, the TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) and Commerce Ministry authorized participation of Pakistani companies in the exhibition.Many leading companies from all over the world are participating in the Dental Show scrambling to introduce their products in this competitive and economically-vibrant region of China.While meeting with Chinese interlocutors and various companies, on the sideline of the Show, the CG underscored that Pakistan had a flourishing and internationally-competitive dental and surgical instruments market.
He emphasized that the Chinese companies must explore Pakistan as their next destination to secure dental and surgical instruments from Pakistan.
The CG highlighted that Sialkot, a burgeoning industrial city of Pakistan in the north-east of Punjab province, had developed its reputation as major city in the world producing high-quality dental and surgical instruments and hoped that the Chinese companies will visit Sialkot to have first-hand experience of the citys expertise in that area.
The CG also attended the opening/promotional ceremony of the Ziyang Dental Industrial Park.
On the occasion, while meeting the Deputy Secretary of the Work Committee of Ziyang Community Party (as well as Director Ziyan Hi-Tech Industrial Zone), the CG maintained that Pakistan would be happy to establish ties with Ziyang Dental Industrial Park and hoped that Ziyang Park would promote Pakistans medical industry in West China.
The Dental Show is being jointly organized by (a) Asia Dental Center, (b)Stomatology of West China Committee, (c) Sichuan Stomatology Association , (d) Shaanxi Stomatology Association, (e) Chongqing Stomatology Association, (f) Hospital of Stomatology- The Fourth Military Medical University and a host of leading institutions of Sichuan province and Western China.
