As Sri Lanka marks a decade of peace on May 19, Army Commander Mahesh Senanayake has pledged to preserve the peace within the country.
Noting that the country is now facing a threat of terrorism of a different nature, the Commander said the Army along with the other forces is prepared to prevent any similar attacks, such as that which occurred on April 26.
He made these assurances at a media briefing held in Colombo this week.
