Domestic equity markets extended their gains for 10 straight sessions on Wednesday following firm global cues.More than 25 stocks on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) scaled their fresh 52-week highs in early trade.The list included stocks like Taj GVK Hotels, Hindustan Unilever, Mindtree, Nestle, Asian Hotels (W), Zenith Exports, Pidilite Industries, VIP Industries, Focus Lighting and Fixtures, IOL Chemicals and Arman Financial.
However, stocks such as SRS Ltd, Vakrangee, Standard Ind, Jaypee Infra, Transwarr Fin, Diamond Power, Gitanjali Gems, Bhushan Steel, Balrampur Chini and First Winner hit their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 26 shares were trading in the green on Nifty50, while 24 were trading in the red at around 9.50 am (IST).
In the Nifty 50 index, Zee Entertainment, Cipla, Wipro, GAIL, YES Bank and ITC were among the top gainers, while BPCL, Indian Oil Corp, HPCL, Hindalco Inds., MM and Titan were trading in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 14.90 points up at 34,409.96, whereas the NSE Nifty index was up 6.00 points at 10,554.70 at around the same time.
