NEW DELHI: Over 100 stocks including Antarctica, Bank of Baroda, Burnpur Cement, Cummins India, HCC, Jain Irrigation Systems and Jindal Stainless hit 52-week lows on NSE during Monday's trade.Motherson Sumi Systems, Mandhana Industries, NHPC, NTPC, Punj Lloyd, Shriram EPC, UPL and Visesh Infotecnics also featured among stocks that hit 52-week lows on NSE.Equity benchmarks were lacklustre owing to profit-booking amid mixed Asian cues on worries over a US-China trade war.The NSE Nifty50 index was down 17 points at 10,804, while the BSE Sensex was 70 points down at 35,620 around 11:55 am.
Barring IT, metal and pharma, all sectors were incurring losses on NSE.
Nifty Auto, declining over 1 per cent, was the top loser among the sectoral indices, owing to losses in Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra Mahindra and Bajaj Auto.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.Vedanta, Hindalco and UltraTech Cement were among the top gainers in the Nifty index, climbing up to 4.44 per cent.On the contrary, Tata Motors, BPCL, HPCL and ICICI Bank were among the top losers in the Nifty index, falling up to 3.77 per cent.
