NEW DELHI: The BSE Midcap index was trading in the red in Thursday's session. Shares of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (down 21.19 per cent), Future Retail (down 20 per cent), Adani Power (down 19.44 per cent), IDBI Bank (down 14.79 per cent), PNB Housing Finance (down 14.63 per cent), Emami (down 13.99 per cent), L-T Finance Holdings (down 13.66 per cent), Wockhardt (down 13.64 per cent), IDFC First Bank (down 12.91 per cent), Adani Enterprises (down 12.66 per cent), Canara Bank (down 12.64 per cent), Varroc Engineering (down 12.15 per cent), Blue Dart Express (down 11.9 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (down 11.88 per cent), Sun TV Network (down 11.67 per cent), Piramal Enterprises (down 11.43 per cent), Indian Bank (down 11.22 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (down 10.87 per cent), Steel Authority of India (down 10.45 per cent) and Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (down 10.43 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S-P BSE MidCap index was trading 6.66 per cent down at 12538.66 around 02:04 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 691.80 points at 9766.6 , while the BSE Sensex was down 2314.09 points at 33,383.31.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 0 were trading in the green, while 50 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, NALCO, PNB, SBI, BHEL, UPL , ONGC and IDFC First Bank Ltd.

were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
