NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with gains in Monday's session.
Shares of UCO Bank (up 20.0 per cent), Central Bank of India (up 20.0 per cent), J - K Bank (up 19.93 per cent), Indian Bank (up 16.29 per cent), Bank of Maharashtra (up 10.58 per cent), Indian Overseas Bank (up 10.34 per cent), Punjab - Sind Bank (up 9.6 per cent), Bank of India (up 8.21 per cent), Canara Bank (up 6.74 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 3.93 per cent), Union Bank of India (up 2.75 per cent), Bank of Baroda (up 2.69 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 1.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 5.25 per cent up at 1384.2 around 02:37 pm.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 46.50 points at 9313.25 , while the BSE Sensex was up 213.56 points at 31802.2.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, YES Bank, SBI, ICICI Bank, BHEL, Bank of Baroda, PNB and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
