NEW DELHI: As many as 414 stocks including AksharChem India, Asian Granito India, BEL, BEML, Bank of Baroda and Bank of India hit 52-week lows on NSE on Thursday.Ceat, Centum Electronics, Cox Kings, Cummins India, Dalmia Bharat, Deccan Cements, Dena Bank, Grasim Industries, Indiabulls Real Estate, IDBI Bank, Tata Motors, Tata Power and UPL also featured among stocks that touched 52-week lows on NSE.Indian shares extended losses to the second consecutive day on the last day of June futures and options derivatives contracts.Sustained selling was observed in bank, auto, metal, Oil gas, energy and financial stocks.Market sentiment remained subdued in the backdrop of falling rupee and surging crude oil prices.
The Sensex index cracked by 179 points, or 0.51 per cent, finishing at 35,038, with 10 stocks advancing and 21 stocks declining.The Nifty50 wound up Thursday's session down by 82 points, or 0.77 per cent, at 10,589, with 14 stocks in the green and 36 in the red.Tech Mahindra, HPCL, Titan and Indiabulls Housing Finance stood as the top losers in the Nifty index.
