NEW DELHI: Over 45 stocks including Ashok Leyland, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company, HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE during Monday's trade.Hexaware Technologies, IndusInd Bank, KPIT Technologies, Larsen Toubro Infotech, Mahindra Mahindra, Merck, MindTree, NIIT Technologies, Pidilite Industries, Tata Elxsi, Vimta Lab and Tech Mahindra also figured among the stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE on Monday.On the other hand, over 40 stocks including Bhushan Steel, Jaypee Infratech and Reliance Naval and Engineering hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE during Monday's trade.Equity benchmarks were trading with gains on buying in all sectors.
IT, bank, oil and auto stocks were catching investors' attention, whereas select metal and FMCG heavyweights including Hindalco, Coal India, Vedanta, Hindustan Unilever and ITC were experiencing the heat of selling.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 47 points up at 10,611, while the BSE Sensex was up 124 points at 34,539 around 01 pm (IST).Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 pack, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
IndusInd Bank, HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services were trading as the top gainers, rising 3 per cent, in the Nifty index.
