NEW DELHI: Shares of Gati (up 16.63 per cent), Patel Integrated Logistics (up 14.39 per cent), Laxmi Cotspin (up 12.96 per cent), Shekhawati Poly (up 12.50 per cent) and Snowman Logistics (up 11.66 per cent) surged over 10 per cent on NSE during Tuesday's trade, mirroring positive market sentiment.Stocks such as Royal Orchid (up 9.95 per cent), Anik Industries (up 9.65 per cent), Bartronics (up 9.64 per cent), Lypsa Gems (up 9.03 per cent), The Mandhana Retail Ventures (up 8.75 per cent) and GNFC (up 8.49 per cent) jumped over 8 per cent.Equity benchmarks were trading in the higher territory on gains in select pharma, bank, financial oil and FMCG stocks.
However, strong selling was seen in IT and metal stocks.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 17 points up at 10,602, while the BSE Sensex was up 142 points at 34,593 around 11:05 am (IST).
In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks were trading in the green, while 24 stocks were in the red.
YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, Lupin and Dr Reddy's Labs were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.However, Hindalco Industries, Vedanta, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Infosys were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
