Himachal Futuristic Communications advanced nearly 4 per cent on Wednesday after the company said it has received an advance purchase order of Rs 579 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).The scrip was up 3.89 per cent at Rs 28.05 on the BSE at 9.40 am.
It opened at Rs 27.90 and touched high and low of Rs 28.25 and Rs 27.50, respectively, so far.
Benchmark Sensex dropped 24.28 points, or 0.07 per cent, to 33,855.97 at around the same time.Himachal Futuristic in a BSE filing said, The Company has received an Advance Purchase Order worth of Rs 579 crore approximately from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, New Delhi, vide its letter dated 9th April, 2018 for survey, planning, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, integration with existing core network and operation and maintenance for five years of 2G GSM BSS Network through Microwave Radio and VSAT backhaul in uncovered villages of Karbi Anglong and Dima Haso districts of Assam.The network will include 924 BTS sites and cater to 1,313 villages.The stock had scaled a 52-week high of Rs 36.65 on January 11 and 52-week low of Rs 11.85 on June 30 last year.On the BSE, 6.68 lakh shares have been traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 11.64 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
