NEW DELHI: Shares of Uttam Value Steels finished Wednesday's session with a loss of 25 per cent, emerging as the top loser on NSE.It was followed by Shekhawati Poly-Yarn that cracked 12.50 per cent.Jindal Poly Investment and Finance Company (down 9.37 per cent), Cords Cable Industries (down 8.74 per cent), Mahamaya Steel Industries (down 8.44 per cent), SIL Investments (down 8.14 per cent), Sujana Universal Industries (down 7.69 per cent) and C C Constructions (down 7.37 per cent) plunged up to 9 per cent on NSE on Wednesday.Indian shares rose for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, underpinned by gains in bank, IT, capital goods and consumer durables stocks, tracking global stocks that edged up on a rally in oil stocks.The Nifty50 added 24 points, or 0.22 per cent, to settle at 10,742, with 25 stocks rising and 25 falling.Shares of Tata Motors, Titan, YES Bank and Tata Steel remained the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.On the contrary, UltraTech Cement, BPCL, Lupin and Bajaj Finance finished the day as the top losers in the Nifty index.As many as 24 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE, compared with 78 stocks that hit their fresh 52-week lows on NSE on Wednesday.
