NEW DELHI: PC Jeweller (Rs 932 crore) emerged as the most active stock in terms of value on NSE on Tuesday.It was followed by Tata Steel (Rs 805 crore), BEML (Rs 779 crore), Power Grid (Rs 675 crore), HDFC (Rs 556 crore), Kotak Mahindra Bank (Rs 513 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 511 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 503 crore), Hindustan Unilever (Rs 494 crore) and Tata Motors (Rs 483 crore) also stood among the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE, in that order.In a highly volatile session on Tuesday, Indian benchmarks erased early gains of over 1 per cent to settle in the red zone, as likelihood of Congress-JD(S) alliance forming government in Karnataka hit investor sentiment in later half of the day.Nifty slipped 5 points or 0.04 per cent to settle at 10,802.
In the index, 23 stocks settled in the green, while 27 settled in the red.In the Nifty index, Tata Steel, Power Grid, Bajaj Finance, Tata Consultancy Services and Asian Paints stood as the top gainers.On the contrary, Tata Motors, State Bank of India, Coal India and Indiabulls Housing Finance remained the top Nifty losers.
