The UN Security Council Committee has for the second time this month issued a travel ban exemption to the Islamic Emirate&s minister of interior, Sirajuddin Haqqani.The latest exemption was approved on June 20 allowing Haqqani to visit Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.&The purpose of the visit is to participate in meetings regarding regional security, stability and reconciliation,& the UN Security Council said.This comes after Haqqani, along with deputy prime minister Abdul Kabir; intelligence chief Abdul-Haq Wassiq; and Noor Mohammad Saqib, the minister of Hajj and religious affairs had their travel restrictions lifted earlier this month in order for them to travel to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, to perform Hajj.The UN notification on 5 June 2024, stated the travel ban exemption had been approved &for their visit to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
