Fuel Prices: Domestic petrol and diesel prices vary across states due to value added taxPetrol, Diesel Rates Today: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on Saturday, January 9,aftertouchingan all-time high on Thursday, January 7.
State oil marketing companies had hiked prices for two consecutive days.In the national capital,the price of petrol was raisedby 23 paise to Rs 84.20 from Rs 83.97 per litre and diesel was increased by 26 paise to Rs 74.38from Rs 74.12per litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation, the country's largest fuel retailer.
In Mumbai, petrol and diesel prices were atRs 90.83per litre and Rs 81.07 per litre respectively.
After a hiatus of almost onemonth, the fuel rates were hiked raised for two straightdays this week.

Any changesin fuel prices are implementedwith effect from 6 am every day.
The fuel rates vary from state to state in the country due to the value-added tax or VAT.
On Friday, January 8, global crude oil benchmark Brent was trading higher by 0.31 per cent at $54.69 per barrel.
