NAB received threats

NAB Chairman (R) Justice Javed Iqbal on Monday revealed that the anti-corruption body’s headquarters of The National Accountability Bureau received threats.

He disclosed it during a meeting with officers at NAB’s Lahore complex.

Chaudhry Nisar's rival Raja Qamar-ul-Islam arrested

Another major development in Pak  politics of  the day was  the arrest of  PML-N leader Raja Qamar-ul-Islam contesting election against  Chaudhry Nisar.

Pakistan’s anti-corruption watchdog has arrested  Raja Qamar-ul-Islam over his alleged involvement in Punjab’s Saaf Pani Company scam.

Qamar-ul-Islam, a PML-N candidate and Chaudhry Nisar’s opponent in NA-59 (Rawalpinidi), was one of the board members of the Saaf Pani company.

Meeting between COAS, PM  

Army Chief Gen Bajwa held  meeting  meeting with caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk at PM House to discuss upcoming general elections and professional matters of Pak Army.

Nationwide electioneering kicked off

PTI  and other  political parties, which have thrown their hats in the political ring, set their nationwide formal mass contact campaigns

Launching his campaign from the Mianwali home district by addressing a public meeting, PTI Chairman Imran Khan said former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his sons should be held accountable for Rs300 billion, adding that the PML-N had 'expertise only in corruption and money laundering'.
