KARACHI: National carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has once again decided to re-design its logo symbolising the country’s national animal ‘Markhor’ this time.
The new emblem is to be painted on the tail end as well as engine of all aircrafts, a process that requires hefty budget, as informed by sources.
Decision to re-design the airline’s logo was made in view of the new Islamabad airport inauguration, PIA spokesperson Mashhood told Daily Jang.
However, he said that he doesn’t exactly know how much will the entire procedure cost.
Furthermore, PIA is all set to conduct its first mock flight from the New Islamabad International Airport on Saturday, in which around 250 family members of its employees will pass through security scans and baggage checks, before proceeding to the customs counters, as a mock exercise.
