Peshawar: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Thurday summoned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak.
The Supreme Court chief justice was hearing cases of public interest in the Peshawar Registry of the apex court.
He also sought explanation form authorities about provision of drinkable water and other facilities being provided to the citizens .
The chief justice inquired as to why there was load shedding in the province and what has the government done to generate electricity.
During the hearing,the chief justice asked the Inspector General police to withdraw police security provided to irrelevant people in the province.
IG Salahuddin Mehsood told the chief justice that 3000 policemen were deployed for the security of different people.
He assured the CJ that the personnel would be withdrawn by tonighnt.
The chief justice sought a report on number of schools and facilities being provided to the students.
Meanwhile, the chief justice visited a Alrazi Medical College, a private medical institute, and ordered the Federal Investigation Agency to seize its record.
He took exception to the administration of the college for inadequate facilities despite taking heavy fees .
The chief justice also visited Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital, the main government run medical facility in the provincial capital.
