LAHORE: Pakistan’s first-ever digital museum recently opened doors in the cultural hub Lahore and has since then become a major tourist attraction.
Launched by The Parks Horticulture Authority, Government of Punjab ‘The National History Museum’ in Greater Iqbal Park acts as a reserve of the country’s significant history, dating from 1857 to 1947, preserved and displayed digitally.
Spread over an area of 35000 square feet, the museum boasts some very momentous ancient assets, such as 1800 audio recordings, while also providing a chance to visitors to re-live Pakistan’s independence history through a historic VXR 1915 Rail Car.
Other prized possessions of the museum include:
More than 8700 digitized photos
A cinema hall of the history
Quaid-e-Azam’s 3D holographic address
A historic journey through a digital corridor
