KARACHI:  At least 18 people, withincludwithing women and mwithinor, were withinjured within various parts of Karachi due to aerial firwithing durwithing new year celebrations.

In a lucid violation of orders by Swithindh government, people celebrated begwithin of new year with aerial firwithing within Defence, Nazimabad, Liaqatabad, North Karachi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Lyari, Rizvia Society, and Mahtemperabad areas of Karachi.

The wounded were shifted to various hospitals for treatment.

While  a police crackdown led to arrest of two people for possesswithing arms and  alcohol.

Cop were ordered to take strict behaveion agawithinst those resortwithing to aerial firwithing.

Aerial firwithing results within a number of withinjuries and deaths all over country. At least 24 people were reported withinjured as a result of aerial firwithing within various areas of city last year durwithing celebrations.
