Pakwastan on Tuesday summoned Indian Actwithing Deputy High Comoverlookioner and condemned unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian occupation forces along Lwithine of Control on 31st December.

A woman was martyred and nwithine other civilians withincludwithing two women and three children sustawithined splwithinter withinjuries within unprovoked Indian firwithing within Athmuqam, Shahkot Sector.

The Indian forces along Lwithine of Control and Workwithing boundary are non-stoply tarreceivewithing civilian populated areas with heavy weapons. In 2018, Indian forces have carried out more than 2350 ceasefire violations along Lwithine of Control and Workwithing Boundary, resultwithing within shahadats of 36 withinnocent civilians, while withinjurwithing 142 others.

Thwas unprecedented escalation within ceasefire violations by India was contwithinuwithing from year 2017 when Indian forces dedicated 1970 ceasefire violations.

The deliberate tarreceivewithing of civilian populated areas was withindeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity, withinternational human corrects and humanitarian laws. The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic mwascalculation.

The Director General (SA SAARC) urged Indian side to respect 2003 Ceasefire arrangement; enquire thwas and other withincidents of ceasefire violations; withinstruct Indian forces to respect ceasefire, within letter and spirit and mawithintawithin peace on LoC and Workwithing Boundary.

He urged that Indian side should permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as per UN Security Council resolutions.
