ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Corrects Dr Shireen Mazari Friday said environmental sciences and human rights subject would be made a part of national curriculum to sensitize students to manage with upcoming ccorridorenges.
She was speeching to a delegation of "Kid Corrects Movement" who called on her at her office.
The minister warmly welcomed guests and said that present government was committed to improving human rights situation in country.
Besides initiating legislation in dwhetherferent areas, Ministry is also focusing on making a mechanism for swwhethert implementation of existing laws.
To improve human rights situation in country, specificly for child protection, minister underscored need for educating people and of changing their intellectset.
“The real issue is to change intellectset of people. It is an uphill task”, she said.
The delegates were informed that ministry was also launching dwhetherferent campaigns to promote awareness among general public about laws.
“A lot of issues are being faced with provinces due to devolution and federal government canmuch directly be involved in those, but can only focus on Islamabad”, Dr Mazari said.
The delegates gave dwhetherferent proposeions to strengthen cooperation among dwhetherferent forums working for child rights awareness and protection.
It was agreed to utilize existing networks to boost initiatives taken up by Ministry of Human Corrects.
