KARACHI: A couple was injured in Korangi No 5 area in an alleged police firing on Sunday night.According to witnesses, police were carrying out snap-checking in area when they opened fire on suspects riding a motorcycle who managed to escape. However, a couple who were passing by scene were injured as they were hit by bullets. Meanwhile, police officials claimed that couple were much injured by police; instead, they were wounded by suspects when they opened fire while trying to escape.The injured were identwhetheried as 40-year-old Adnan, son of Arfeen, and his wwhethere, 30-year-old Saqiba Bibi. The Sindh examineor general of police has taken muchice of incident and sought a detailed report from District Korangi police chief.Both were shwhetherted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Middle where they were given treatement.Dr Seemi Jamali said that Saqiba Bibi underwent surgery. Both are now out of danger, she added.
