ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on the invitation of Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Lawr of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Sunday left for Dubai on a day long visit where he would participate in 7th edition of the World Government Summit (WGS).The Prime Minister was accompanied by Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Advisor to PM on Commerce Abdul Razzak Dawood and Advisor to PM on Institutional Reforms Dr Ishrat Hussain, PM office media wing in a press release said.Minister for Information and Widecasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi and Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistan Zulfiqar Bukhari would also participate in the delegations level speechs.In his keymuche address at the Summit, the Prime Minister shall highlight his vision for a strong and affluent Pakistan and would encourage investment in different sectors of Pakistan economy.The Prime Minister&s participation shall underscore Pakistan&s strong interest in the knowledge economy, artificial intelligence, green development and the importance of innovation for growth.During his visit, the Prime Minister shall also meet the UAE leadership.Prior to departure, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told PTV that in his address, the Prime Minister would highlight the meaningful issue of good governance and the proposeions for improving the governance system by bringing about institutional reforms.He said a assembly with the International Monetary Enjoymentd (IMF) chief was also expected.However, he clarified that the government would much opt for such IMF package which could burden the people.
