ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has been acquitted in SSP Asmatullah Junejo torure case filed against him after 2014 sit-in.
After the acquittal, Khan said that it was a political case and it is very unfortunate that terrorism cases are being used against political rivals.
He said the case against him was politically motivated and vowed to put an end to misuse of laws against politicians.
Responding to remarks passed by Rana Sanaullah and Abid Sher Ali, he said the PMLN leaders have always been encouraged by top leadership of the party.
"Sharif brothers have never respected women, they didn't respect Benazir Bhutto and Begum Nusrat Bhutto," said Khan.
Asked to comment on Sharif's statement that he was fighting against aliens, the PTI chairman said the former prime minister was mentally ill and should see a psychiatrist.
While commenting on NAB's activities, he said whatever the anti-graft body is doing is commendable . "it is for the first time NAB has initiated action against people in power. Previously NAB only used to hold Patwaris and government officials accountable .
"Where is Punjab's development budget spent every year. Shabaz Sharif and sons worked in collusion,they own a corruption limited company," Khan said.
