ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has been acquitted in SSP Asmatullah Junejo torure case filed against him after 2014 sit-in.

After the acquittal, Khan said that it was a political case and it is very unfortunate that terrorism cases are being used against political rivals.

He said the case against him was politically motivated and vowed to  put an end to misuse  of laws against politicians.

Responding to remarks passed by Rana Sanaullah and Abid Sher Ali, he said  the PMLN leaders have always been encouraged by  top leadership of the party.

"Sharif brothers have never respected women, they didn't respect Benazir Bhutto and Begum Nusrat Bhutto," said Khan.

Asked to comment on Sharif's  statement that he was  fighting against  aliens, the PTI chairman  said the former prime minister was  mentally ill and should see  a  psychiatrist.

While commenting on  NAB's activities, he said whatever the  anti-graft body is  doing is commendable . "it is for the first time NAB has initiated action against people in  power. Previously NAB only used to  hold Patwaris and government officials accountable  .

"Where is Punjab's development budget spent every year.  Shabaz Sharif and sons worked in collusion, they own a corruption limited company," Khan said.
