RAIPUR: Suspected Maoists have hacked to death a local BJP leader in Chhattisgarhs Bastar, the 2nd such murder in the previous few days and the 4th considering that January, reports Partha Behera.Ramdhar Alami, 43, a previous BJP-supported sarpanch, was killed on Saturday hours after national celebration president JP Nadda checked out Bastar and warned the Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress government over its inability to stop such political killings ahead of assembly polls later this year.Five enemies in consistent assaulted Alami with axes in a forest while he was returning home, SHO Surendra Kumar said.
A note discovered near Alamis body said he was an authorities informer which he backed a job opposed by the rebels.Earlier, on February 3, 40-year-old BJP leader Neelkant Kakem was hacked to death by thought Maoists at a wedding in Bijapur.
Kakem was a block president of BJP.
Before him, Budhram Kartam, secretary of BJPs Bastar district, was found dead in mystical scenarios.
BJP alleged the bloodshed in Bastar becomes part of a political conspiracy to prevent party workers from reaching out to people ahead of the surveys.
The dedicated work of BJP employees in Bastar has baffled other groups who are conspiring in political murders, BJP state president Arun Sao said Sunday.Brushing aside the conspiracy claims, CM Bhupesh Baghel remembered it was Congress which had suffered the most from Maoist violence when the states whole frontline leadership was erased in a deadly attack in Bastars Jheeram Valley in 2013.
