SINDHULI, MARCH 19Chairperson of CPN-Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said his party must go to the election on its own strength for the sake of country and people. Election Commission for local polls on May 18 Bajura Hospital brings into operation its own hearse, ambulance Chairperson Dahal said it during a programme organised at Sindhulimadhi today. The CPN MC's victory in the elections is a must also to safeguard the constitution and democracy. He argued that if the party faced drubbing in the upcoming elections, it would be a huge loss to the country and party as well."We're still fighting for the sake of country, but conspiracy is being hatched against CPN- MC.

So, party cadres and leaders should be connected to people as they did during the insurgency," he viewed, calling them not to underestimate the local level elections.According to him, the electoral loss of the party is the loss of of all those supporting republicanism.Chairperson Dahal further viewed the failure would also fail the objective of insurgency and peace process. He blamed the CPN-UML of obstructing the Parliament for long time for no reason.

The UML emerged as the antagonistic force to the campaign of establishing socialism in the country.

Special caution is required against the elements working against the federalism and republicanism, according to Dahal. Moreover, Chairperson Dahal reminded that path to federalism was paved after the Nepali Congress leader Girija Prasad Koirala and he signed the Comprehensive Peace Accord."As one of the major signatories of the Comprehensive Peace Accord, I need to protect constitution at all cost," he asserted.A version of this article appears in the print on March 20, 2022, of The Himalayan Times .
