NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading lower in Friday's morning session. Shares of Tata Global Beverages (down 1.76 per cent) , Godrej Industries (down 1.19 per cent) , Procter - Gamble Hygiene - Healthcare (down 0.96 per cent) and Britannia Industries (down 0.94 per cent) were trading with losses.

United Spirits (down 0.80 per cent) , ITC (down 0.71 per cent) , United Breweries (down 0.63 per cent) and Jubilant Foodworks (down 0.36 per cent) too were trading in the red.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.33 per cent down at 29,455.30 around 10:48 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 66.35 points at 11,530.55 while the BSE Sensex was down 200.90 points at 38,696.56.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV India, Ashok Leyland, NTPC, SBI, Biocon, ONGC, Bank of Baroda and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
