NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading on a mixed note in Tuesday's morning session.
Shares of YES Bank (up 1.70 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 1.35 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.07 per cent) and ICICI Bank (up 0.40 per cent) were trading higher.
HDFC Bank (down 1.53 per cent), Bank of Baroda (down 1.31 per cent), IDFC First Bank (down 1.25 per cent) and Punjab National Bank (down 0.90 per cent) were trading in the red.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.08 per cent down at 29,260.75 around 10:08 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 4.40 points at 11,341.80 while the BSE Sensex was down 8.56 points at 38,022.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV India, Indian Oil Corp, PNB, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Adani Power and TVS Motor were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
