NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading lower in Tuesday's morning session with their sectoral index trading lower.

Shares of Biocon (down​ 3.31 per cent)​, Divis Laboratories (down​ 2.01 per cent)​, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (down​ 1.96 per cent)​, Dr Reddys Laboratories (down​ 1.56 per cent)​, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down​ 1.31 per cent)​, Cipla (down​ 0.74 per cent)​ and Cadila Healthcare (down​ -0.49 per cent)​ were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.95 per cent down at 8038.2 around 09:58 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.65 points at 11830.05 , while the BSE Sensex was up 4.34 points at 40367.57 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, GMR Infra, Tata Motors, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Biocon, SAIL and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
